Audits
California Government Code Section 26909 requires the Napa County Mosquito Abatement District to have an independent financial audit performed each year.
This audit is conducted by licensed accountants and subject to minimum reporting requirements pursuant to Chapter 2 of the California Code of Regulations Section 1131.2. The purpose of the annual audit is to examine the District’s policies, practices and procedures concerning the use of public funds and to assess that taxpayer assets are being sufficiently protected against intentional misuse and fraud.
